about mobile WiFi, Japan vs the United State

Here in Tokyo, mobile WiFi services have developed well. We can easily access them. On top that, they are inexpensive and affordable to lay people.

By contrast, when in N.Y., the United States, on this February, I could use WiFi only Airport, Hotel, and Starbucks. Beside that, the price of WiFi service there was more expensive than that in Japan.

In USA, I used Boingo, which cost $10 a day, but only in hot spot.
In Japan, we can use WiMAX (40Mbps) for $6 a day and everywhere( not only airport, etc).

So, in terms of mobile WiFi, I guess we have more advanced and affordable services in Japan.

Actually, I use mobile WiFi, Pocket WiFi and WiMAX. They are terrific!
( I felt inconvenience in the US, I couldn't reach mobile WiFi other than in hot spot)
